Council is committed to helping you build and operate a better, fully compliant business. To reduce the compliance burden and cost of compliance for business, South East Queensland Councils have standardised information and requirements relating to the following permits, licences, approvals and registrations:
To establish the viability of purchasing a licensable business, it is strongly recommended that the potential purchaser apply for a business report (also known as a heath search) by lodging an Application for Non Residential Property Information (PS2) (PDF 78kb).
This search provides the potential purchaser with an inspection and report on the licensable business for legal compliance pursuant to applicable legislation. It is not an assessment of the equipment, fittings and fixtures in terms of quality, reliability or appropriateness and no such opinion or undertaking will be expressed therein.
Information on the standard of conduct, structural fit out standard, operational status and outstanding fees are provided. The inspection report will be provided to the potential purchaser five business days after receipt of application. Additional inspections and reinspections incur an additional fee per inspection visit and should be requested when filling in the application form if a further inspection is required of the premises prior to sale.
