Inclusive and Vibrant

Inclusive and vibrantIn 2026, Logan is a friendly and welcoming city.

We share ideas and aspirations and support everyone towards full community participation. Cultural diversity is welcomed and celebrated.

It's all about our people

Logan City is a place where everyone is valued and included, regardless of age and gender, mental and physical ability. Here people of different cultures, backgrounds and belief systems actively engage and contribute to the shaping of our city.

Interwoven with this is an acknowledgement of the special relationship and spiritual connection our Indigenous people have with the land.

Government and community work together through participatory planning, ensuring all social groups
are involved and responsible for the decisions which create our future.

Fair and Just

Village precincts maintain the sense of individual and community identity. The city's public areas and
facilities are accessible, with ease of mobility for all people. People feel safe and confident to enjoy all
aspects of everyday life.

Greater engagement across and between communities has brought people together. By respecting
difference, working to increase awareness of social justice issues and offering practical help and
resources, our community has gained strength and participation levels have increased.

Public assistance, social support groups and healthcare services are adequately funded, widely available and user friendly.

Cooperation between government and developers has made housing affordable and appropriate. An
innovative and diverse mix of housing options now meets the needs of all households.

An intercultural city

There are strong working partnerships between local businesses, education providers and public venues that have established a flourishing arts community. The city showcases emerging local talent and enjoys greater access to creative artistry through an extensive range of cultural events, exhibitions, festivals and performances.

Inter-generational and inter-cultural experiences continue to enrich us all. Logan City is now a vibrant multicultural destination renowned for its fantastic food, art, fashion and shopping.
