Maintenance of existing kerb and channel
Logan Works repairs and maintains all kerb and channel within the road reserve. This maintenance includes the repair of any kerb and channel defects that could be a safety hazard to pedestrian or vehicular traffic.
Should you discover any potential hazards in a piece of kerb and channel in your area, please contact Logan Works 3412 5436.
Painting of house numbers on kerb and channel
- Council has no objections to the painting, engraving or fixing of house numbers only on the face of concrete kerbs or the wings of driveway crossovers within the city at the request and expense of individual property owners.
- House numbers are to be checked with Council prior to painting or engraving.
- Council accepts no responsibility for maintenance or replacement of kerb numbers.
- Council will not become directly involved in schemes for fixing house numbers to kerb.
- Council’s preference for kerb numbering is black numerals on a white reflective background.
Requests for new kerb and channel
Council currently undertakes the installation of new kerb and channel in conjunction with capital roadworks. For further information, please download a copy of Council's policy (pdf) relating to development frontage works. This policy is used to determine the annual roadworks and drainage programs and whether or not to construct certain roads and drainage upgrading works along the frontage of various properties which may have future development potential.
Should you wish to lodge a request for the construction of new kerb and channel, please contact Council on 3412 5282.
