Cr Russell Lutton is serving his eighth consecutive term at Logan City Council, making him one of the longest serving Councillors in the city’s history.
A father of three, Cr Lutton resides in Woodridge with his family. Before becoming a full-time Councillor in 1985, he worked for Queensland Rail and, on his retirement was the Woodridge Station Master.
During the past 24 years he has served on every Council Standing Committee, was Town Planning and Environment Committee Chairperson for six years and chaired the Development and Environment Committee from 2004 to 2008.
He is committed to this city’s future, wanting to make it not only a better place to live, but also a safer one.
An active sportsman, Cr Lutton lists his hobbies as bike riding, golf, soccer, cricket and keeping fit.
After more than 24 years in Council, he is proud to have a first hand knowledge of every Council branch.
