About Cr Black
Cr Sean Black was elected to Logan City Council on 15 March 2008 to represent Division Four.
Before being elected, he worked in real estate from 2000 to 2008. In 2005 he established his own real estate office in Beenleigh, which serviced Mt Warren Park through to Mundoolun. He is now a full-time Councillor selling his real estate office in August 2008.
Prior to his real estate career, he was a policy advisor to the State Minister for Local Government, Planning and Regional Communities for two years.
Because of his strong passion for community building, Cr Black helped form a local ratepayers association in 2006. He has a passion for working hard in his local area and views the role of Councillor primarily as a "community builder".
Since his election, Cr Black has diligently represented his community and worked with locals to better improve the services of his division. Cr Black said he was passionate about making sure the transferring areas of the former Gold Coast and Beaudesert (part of both make up his division) were adequately represented in the new Logan.
