About Cr Clarke

Cr Lynne Clarke was first elected to Council in 1997. Prior to that, she had 25 years experience in operating a medium sized business in Logan West, and then establishing a drama academy.

She has lived in Logan since 1977. A mother of four and a grandmother of five, including triplets, Cr Clarke resides in Forestdale. She and husband Don have been married for 40 years.

She is keen to represent the long-time residents of Division 7 and the new residents who have moved into the division from the former Beaudesert Shire.

Cr Clarke says her priorities are to continue to clean-up graffiti and promote public art through murals, as well as providing landscaping and beautification projects, upgrade of roads, and new footpaths for Division 7.

She says her aim is to listen to residents by attending Neighbourhood Watch meetings, Parents and Citizens (P&C) meetings, and community consultation meetings, be their voice, and to be available to those needing assistance with Council matters.

She is a former acting Deputy Mayor and Chair of Council's Environment, Parks and Waste Committee.
She is past president of the Lions Club of Logan West and has sat on the Logan West Community Centre's Carols by Candlelight Committee. She is also a Patron of Revolutions Rollersports Club Inc.

Cr Clarke is a member of the 4118 Club, which helps businesses network and create jobs in the Logan West community. She is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Cr Clarke is a member of Logan Beaudesert Crimestoppers Committee and the Logan West Ambulance Committee. She founded Graffiti Buster Day and it became a citywide program.
