Non-payment of fines
Should the period for payment of an infringement expire, and no review has been sought and no court hearing option nominated, then Council will forward the matter to the State Penalties Enforcement Registry (SPER) to prosecute the matter as a 'default of payment'.
In these cases an additional administration charge (currently $46.50) is added to the value of the original infringement and becomes payable upon conviction by SPER.
