Ethel Spann Ethel Spann is an active community volunteer, a role she played throughout her 35 year career was Director of Nursing for Blue Care. Ethel volunteers with a number of organisations including the Princess Alexandra Hospital's "Look Good Feel Better" program (which supports oncology patients), she helped support the chaplaincy in local schools through fundraising efforts, volunteering at the Beenleigh Visitor Information Centre and assisting with the Beenleigh Yatala Chamber of Commerce breakfasts as well as being a mentor for local high school students. |

Keziah Oliver Keziah Oliver is a volunteer coach, choreographer, youth mentor and a role model for gymnastics students of Queensland Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy, which trains at Logan PCYC. A competitive gymnast herself, Keziah performs at various community and sports functions across Logan City and is actively involved with fundraising also. Keziah also won the 2008 Logan City Young Sportsperson of the Year. |

Logan City Theatre Company Logan City Theatre Company has provided quality and professional live theatre to the Logan community for 30 years, giving Logan residents a chance to perform on stage, learn lighting and sound skills as well as directing and behind the scenes work. The group has also contributed to many community events such as Carols by Candlelight and Logan McDonalds McHappy Day. |

Barry Lane Barry Lane is a well known Logan identity, widely respected for his business know-how and tireless work helping the people of Logan. Despite working up to 100 hours a week, Barry also donates his time to a number of community organisations including the Logan Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, Cancer Council's Relay for Life as well as being a sponsor for the Logan City Sports Awards. He also lectures at Logan Schools on business, supports local sporting teams and is proud to employ Logan Youth at his businesses. |

Beryl Braddock Beryl Braddock co-founded the Logan Breathe Ezy group which provides social support to people with chronic respiratory conditions. Beryl provides behind the scenes support far beyond coordinating monthly meetings, assisting with transport, providing morning tea and arranging activities as well as providing telephone support to those referred. She is also heavily involved with the Alzheimer's Association and Seniors Club. |

Mission Possible Volunteers Inc Mission Possible Volunteers sew clothing and other items for foster and sick children, nursing home and respite centre residents, Meals on Wheels, special schools, community organisations, Logan Hospital newborns and special care unit patients and children at Camp Quality and the Leukaemia Foundation. The team works tirelessly to keep up with requests for support often using their own resources to meet the needs of the community. |

Frank Barnes Frank Barnes' energy and dedication to community work is admired across the Logan community. His work with local youth, as the honorary pastor for Beenleigh State High School, as Voluntary Coordinator for the Beenleigh Yatala Junior Chamber of Commerce and also assisting with catering at Beenleigh PCYC functions, is second to none. His work with refugees has seen Mr Barnes take families under his wing, helping them to settle into the Beenleigh community. |

Caitlyn received the Caddie Bradley Memorial Award and Spirit of Enterprise Award for school leadership. Caitlyn has also received the Order of Australia Student Citizenship Award in 2006 in recognition of her achievements. |

Peggy Tidyman and Sophal Su Sophal Su worked with refugees in paid and volunteer roles for more than 20 years using his own experiences as a refugee in similar circumstances 25 years ago. He also assisted in the establishment of the Logan and Beenleigh Migrant Resource centre in 1997. Peggy Tidyman is the current president of the Logan District Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation for Elders and works to represent the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and their needs. |
