The second stage of upgrades at Middle Park is now complete.
The $75,000 project included 166 lineal metres of new footpath, construction of a new picnic area with two shelters (that include tables, chairs and a 240 litre rubbish bin) and the installation of a dual electric barbecue unit.
Several garden beds have also been added around the picnic areas and existing children's playground.
Councillor, Lynne Clarke (Division 7), said the completion of stage two would greatly enhance Middle Park's appeal to local residents.
"Residents of Boronia Heights and Hillcrest now have a very exciting, revamped park to enjoy," she said.
"This venue is now very much in line with Logan City Council's aim to provide residents with liveable spaces for our communities to embrace a healthy and vibrant outdoor lifestyle."
The first round of upgrades at Middle Park began in 2007, and included a designated dog off-leash area and the construction of a children's adventure playground.
Cr Clarke encouraged all residents to make the most the revamped facility.
"Middle Park is now a real asset for the residents of Boronia Heights and Hillcrest," she said.
"With excellent picnic facilities, terrific children's playgrounds and designated areas for dog owners to exercise their pets, this park really does have something for everyone."
