Are you a member of a community group in need of funding for a project or activity?
The Logan Mayoress' Community Service Committee Inc is currently offering community service organisations the opportunity to apply for grants that will benefit the Logan community.
In the past year the committee has raised a record high of more than$150,000 for distribution to non-profit registered charities and welfare organisations in Logan and surrounding areas.
Logan Mayoress' Community Service Committee Chairperson, George Parker, said he was proud of the achievements of the committee and commended the contribution of the Mayoress' Committee volunteers and business community.
"I would like to thank our volunteers and the business community who have again, this past year, supported our fundraising," he said.
"The financial support we have received has enabled the committee to assist and strengthen existing community groups which support individuals during their times of personal crisis.
Mr Parker said a wide range of projects, activities, works or services carried out by registered charities and welfare groups were eligible for consideration under the Logan Mayoress Community Services Committee Fund
