Don't like being in photos. Well how about taking them?
If you consider yourself a budding photographer, grab your camera and head out onto the streets and capture the beauty and uniqueness of our vast neighbourhood for your chance to share in the fun of Logan's inaugural photographic competition.
Council is running the photo competition during Spring and is inviting residents to flash their cameras around our great city.
To enter, send your digital photo (minimum filter size 2MB) on CD to Community Engagement and Marketing Branch, PO Box 3226, Logan City DC QLD 4114 or email council@logan.qld.gov.au with the subject "photo competition".
Entries close 30 September.
Customer and Corporate Services Committee Chairperson Councillor Lisa Bradley (Division 1) said the best entries would be included in the summer edition of Our Logan, Our City, and could be showcased in Council's marketing publications like 2010 calendars and postcards.
"Whether you visit some of our natural or cultural attractions or focus on our people, there are many subjects which can be captured," she said.
"The winning photos will be displayed in Council's Customer Service Centres and on our website.
"The photo competition is open to all residents and entrants who have families living in Logan.
"Each entrant is allowed to send up to 10 photos, but remember to include your information on each entry."
Photos are not date restricted; they can have been taken at any time.
