They king-hit the competition last time round, and Logan City's under 16 softballers have again been crowned Queensland's supreme team.
The side sealed its second successive state title with a 3-1 grand final triumph over Brisbane "Red", the same opponent they defeated in the 2008 tournament decider.
After starting its campaign with a draw against Redlands, the Logan City side stormed to the title with eight consecutive wins in the three-day event, that involved 12 teams from all corners of Queensland.
Team coach, Tracie Kemp, said the $1145 that Logan City Council donated to the team before the tournament, had inspired the players.
"It was wonderful of Council to chip in with some money that allowed us to purchase new helmets, knee pads and gear bags," she said.
"The new equipment looked fantastic and really gave the girls a feeling of professionalism during all of their matches."
Councillor Lisa Bradley (Division 1), who presented the team jerseys before the tournament, said the players had represented their community with distinction.
"To win the state title last year was a fantastic achievement for these girls, but to triumph two years in a row in such a fiercely contested event makes them very special," she said.
"On behalf of Logan City Council, I congratulate the girls who've done themselves and their community very proud."
Along with collecting the state championship silverware, Logan City team was also rewarded with five selections in the state under 16 softball side - the highest representation from any region.
Rebecca Chapman, Danielle Oppermann, Renee Hunter, Maraea Tupai and Laura Coulter will all wear Queensland colours at the Australian under 16 softball championships in Sydney next year.
