With the weather warming up, now is the perfect time to snuggle up under the stars at one of Logan City Council's free Moonlight Movies sessions.
The Moonlight Movies initiative, which features open air screenings, starts on Saturday, October 3, at Meakin Park, Slacks Creek, with the computer-animated science fiction comedy Wall E.
The movie will also be screened at Ernie White Park, Crestmead, on November 14.
Bedtime Stories, starring comedy king Adam Sandler, will screen at the Relay for Life, at Hills International College, Jimboomba, on Saturday, October 10. It will also be screened on Saturday, November 21, at Skinners Park, Carbrook.
The heart warming animation film The Tale of Despereaux is set to screen at the Village Green, Logan Village on Saturday, October 17. It will also be shown at the Logan City Council Grounds, Logan Central, on Saturday, November 28.
The magic of Walt Disney comes to Riverdale Park on Saturday, October 24, with the screening of Beverly Hills Chihuahua . The movie will also be shown at Centenary Park, Beenleigh, on Saturday, December 5.
The computer-animated comedy Bolt comes to James Smith Recreation Area, Greenbank, on Saturday, October 31 and Underwood Park, Priestdale, on Saturday, December 12.
Emmy award winning film, High School Musical, will be screened at Forest Glen Park, Browns Plains, on Saturday, November 7. The Kingston Butter Factory will host a second screening on Saturday, December 19.
Health, Sport and Community Services Committee Chairperson, Councillor Phil Pidgeon (Division 9), said the Moonlight Movies combined the nostalgia of the drive-in with the comfort of the park.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for families to enjoy some terrific free entertainment courtesy of Logan City Council," he said.
"We love giving back to Logan residents so I encourage locals to get along to their local park and enjoy a great night."
A range of soft drinks and confectionery will be on sale, so gather the family, a pillow and a picnic and catch the free entertainment at some of Logan City's most atmospheric outdoor venues.
