Logan City is on the move!
A partnership between Logan City Council and Yellow Cabs will see the benefits and opportunities of Logan spread far and wide.
The partnership has seen Logan City promotional advertisements placed on both sides of four of Daniel and Nathalie Ford's Logan City Yellow Cabs - at no cost to Council.
After meeting early last year, Logan Mayor, Councillor Pam Parker and Mr and Mrs Ford realised they shared the same passion for Logan City.
They held a number of discussions on how to combine their resources to best promote the city with the eye-grabbing advertisements the result.
''Logan City is known for its tremendous community spirit and Daniel and Nathalie Ford are true examples of this,'' Cr Parker said.
''The way they have got behind this idea is simply wonderful and I applaud and thank them for their generosity. They are outstanding corporate citizens who simply want to contribute what they can to get the positive message of Logan out there.
''Logan City Yellow Cabs asked what they could do to help me promote Logan and these advertisements are already making a big impact.''
Mr Ford said the advertisements were a great opportunity to spread a positive image of Logan City.
''It is a good positive message that not only helps promote Logan City Yellow Cabs, but also our city and the enormous potential it has,'' he said.
''When we met with Cr Parker we said we wanted to help promote the city but with something a bit different - I think we have managed to achieve that.
''The response to date has been outstanding - we are getting a lot of positive feedback.''
Cr Parker said Daniel and Nathalie Ford had offered Council the opportunity to place promotional advertisements on more cabs in the future.
''Daniel has told me he is looking at getting another 20 cabs in the future and said the offer would be there for us to put our advertisements on some of them - what an opportunity for us,'' she said.
''Cabs travel to all points of this and neighbouring cities so the more we spread the word, the more people will be aware of what a great place we have here in Logan.''
