Logan Art Gallery Exhibitions - June/August Where: Logan Art Gallery, Cnr Jacaranda Ave and Wembley Road, Logan Central
Modified: Paul Caporn With both insight and humour, Paul Caporn's skilfully crafted sculptural and two-dimensional works satirically engage with masculinity and cultural identity. Modified plays with ideas drawn from our Australian suburban culture of customisation or 'hotting up' and the 'backyard blitz'. This exhibition is toured by Art on the Move, Western Australia.
Matthew Dabrowski: Atomic Atomic is a typological study of how nature's patterns flow through the built environment. Through the use of photography Matthew Dabrowski's works are an exploration of 'incidentally' made art. Atomic alludes to the relationship between the everyday and the pursuit of resources globally.
Angela Rossitto: Gardini Groteschi Contemporary artist and local teacher Angela Rossitto creates an engaging sculptural installation incorporating found objects, vibrant colour, fabric and 'the tactile', challenging the interconnections between love, the human condition and commodities.
Linda Pasfield: Diamonds The portrait photography of Linda Pasfield captures the essence of her subjects in Ethiopia, Papua New Guinea and Fiji.
Windaroo State Primary School This fun exhibition includes a wonderful array of paintings and mixed media works by students from Windaroo State Primary School.
