After hours holding pens
If you find a stranded or wandering animal Council has after hours holding pens located at the Animal Management Centre, 213 Queens Road, Kingston.
Animals found stranded or wandering your street at night can be housed in one of Council's after hours holding pens. Every morning the pens are checked and any animals in the pens are impounded, with their details listed on Council's Animal Net site (Animal Net Link). Council's priority is to reunite pets with the owners. If your pet is registered with Council and/or microchipped our chances of reuniting you with your animal increases significantly.
The pens are not a suitable place for injured animals or wildlife. If the animal is injured, please refer the animal to your local veterinary clinic or contact RSPCA (RSPCA Queensland Link). If you find sick or injured wildlife please contact the Bushcare Officer on 3412 5338, who will put you in contact with the appropriate wildlife carers.
