Logan Art Gallery art workshops

After school activities and school holiday workshops are available throughout the year. Bookings are essential.

McDonald's® school holiday sports program

An award winning program now being offered at Insports and five school based programs at Marsden, Browns Plains, Woodridge, Loganlea and Springwood State High Schools, for 6-12 year olds. Sports featured in previous programs include: basketball, futsal, netball, tight-rope walking, golf, croquet, gymnastics, tae kwon do, break dancing, indoor rock climbing (Insports only), fencing, bocce, indoor hockey, AFL, soccer, touch, softball, rugby, circus skills, rugby league and many more. There are opportunities for senior students interested in childcare services and sport/recreation to develop voluntary leadership skills.

Krank school holiday program

Krank is an initiative for Logan youth aged 13 to 17 years, offering a broad range of low or no-cost activities in and around Council parks and community facilities. Programs for school holidays are planned for June/July, Sep/Oct and Dec 08/Jan 09.

Logan City Youth Council

Open to Logan youth aged between 15 and 21. It recognises young people as citizens of the Logan community and empowers them through skills and knowledge development to play an active and positive part in the local government decision-making processes.

Logan Youth forum

Available for opinions and views of the youth of Logan. Have your say about youth issues in your neighbourhood.

Immunisation program

Council's Immunisation Team holds a weekly clinic at Council's Administration Building on Wembley Road every Thursday from 3.30 pm to 7 pm. 

Logan City Council will continue to run clinics on the last Thursday of each month at Jimboomba Library, 18-22 Honora Street, Jimboomba between 11 am and 12 noon and at Beenleigh Library, Crete Street Beenleigh between 1 pm and 2 pm (no appointments necessary).

Library book club and holiday activities

Library clubs for young people are held monthly at each library. These feature previews of latest books and fun activities. A full program of free activities for school-aged children is provided during school holidays. Games, quizzes, storytelling and craft activities are regular features. As numbers are limited, bookings are necessary for all activities.
