In school programs

Councillor visits

Invite your local counillor to visit with your students. Councillors are happy to visit and talk about government studies or issues relevant to your local areas.

Waste education program

This free program includes activities that are hands on and age appropriate, and teachers receive free resources and student worksheets.

Tailored in-class presentations on subjects such as:

  • Waste and recycling
  • Smart shopping
  • Natures recyclers
  • Litter

Eco-Kid's program in class

Free in-class based educational program aimed at raising awareness with primary and secondary school's on local and community environmental issues.

Activities include class talks on a wide range of issues and topics such as pest animals and plants, biodiversity, native fauna, flora and bushland restoration skills.

WaterWise school education program

A free primary school program using WaterWise educational facilitators. Presentations developed to closely address the needs and age levels of the students. Covers topics such as WaterWise messages, the value of water conservation, the complex and costly nature of their water and waste water system and environmental benefits of water conservation.

Supported by activities for students to do at home and in the class room.

Immunisation service

Yr 8 Boys - Hep B (2 doses), Varicella (chicken pox)
Yr 8 Girls - Hep B (2 doses), Varicella (chicken pox), HPV (cervical cancer) (3 doses)
Yr 9 Girls - HPV (cervical cancer) (3 doses)
Yr 10 Boys - Boostrix (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (whooping cough))
Yr 10 Girls - Boostrix (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (whooping cough)), HPV (cervical cancer) (3 doses)

Weekly clinics are also held at Council's Administration Building on Wembley Road every Thursday 3.30 pm - 7 pm.
