Worst of tropical low to bypass Logan

Logan City Council has today received advice by BOM that a tropical low expected to cross the Queensland coast over the next few days will not impact Logan.

Although some northern coastal councils have begun sandbagging operations, this is not a necessary course of action for Logan. Council’s Disaster Management team is monitoring the situation and will advise of any changes.

Early warning app and disaster dashboard

A reminder that Logan residents can now receive alerts about extreme weather events directly to their smartphone, tablet or mobile device.

The Logan Early Warning app is free to download from Council's website and is available for iOS and Android users.

Council has also created an online Disaster Dashboard – a website filled with tips, fact sheets and live camera feeds of known flood areas to keep people up to date about important local disaster and weather information.
