Arts community input needed
Published: 26 May 2017
Logan residents are being invited to take part in a special arts, culture and heritage round table discussion in June.
The invitation is extended to anyone passionate about art, culture or heritage and people who simply want to say what needs to happen to make the City of Logan the most creative, exciting and treasured place to live, work and play.
Sport and Community Services Committee Chairperson Councillor Steve Swenson said the session would be held from 2pm to 4pm on 10 June at Logan Art Gallery, Wembley Rd, Logan Central.
“We want to encourage interested community members to come along and share with us what kind of arts, culture and heritage activities they want to see in the City of Logan,” Cr Swenson said.
“We are excited about arts, culture and heritage in the city and we want as much input from the community as possible.
“We will use the results of this and other discussions to help formulate a new Arts, Culture and Heritage Strategy that will set the direction for the City of Logan.
“It is vital that this strategy reflects the needs, hopes and dreams of Logan’s community.”
Cr Swenson said that, on the day, there would also be a presentation to the latest successful recipients of Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) grants.
Light refreshments will be served so bookings are essential by 8 June and can be made by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
