Acclaimed jazz singer Grace Knight will headline this year's Jazz and Shiraz event.

Logan Mayor, Councillor Pam Parker, said tickets for the popular event would go on sale on Tuesday 5 March.

"This year's event promises to be the best Jazz and Shiraz we've ever seen in Logan," she said.

"Our line-up will include smooth jazz tunes as well as contemporary soul, swing and funk.

"Jazz and Shiraz is part of our Autumn Tones festival, which is showcasing the best of Logan's culture and history in the next couple of months - and best of all, the events are free or low-cost."

Jazz and Shiraz is being held on Saturday 13 April from 3 pm to 9 pm at the historic and unique Kingston Butter Factory.

Cr Parker said the twilight concert would not only feature Ms Knight, but also Australia's Got Talent grand finalist, David De Vito, as well as local artists Scat, Renae Suttie, Lauren Lucille Quartet and Mal Wood and friends, featuring Ashleigh Lewis.

"This is a terrific line-up, so if you love great music, as well as great food and wine, Jazz and Shiraz is an event to put on the calendar," she said.

"We're especially excited about securing Ms Knight - she has had Aria nominations and chart-topping recordings in each of the past three decades and it's a real coup to have her coming to sing in Logan.

"Gourmet food will be available for sale from Focus by James, The Fire Inside and Whacky Waffles & Pancakes, while Logan Entertainment Centre, Sirromet Wines and Cedar Creek Estate Wines will have drinks for sale. Alternatively, bring your own picnic, but please note no BYO alcohol is allowed."

Tickets to Jazz and Shiraz 2013 are $20 and are limited to 1,000 people. Purchase your ticket from Tuesday 5 March by phoning 3412 5626 or visit
