EnviroGrants applications now open for 2015

People who can enhance and protect Logan's natural environment and encourage sustainable practices are being encouraged to apply for Logan City Council's 2015 EnviroGrants program.
Health, Sustainability and Environment Committee Chair, Councillor Trevina Schwarz (Division 11) said nominations were now open for the grant program, which provides financial support for environmental programs and projects to community groups and individuals.
"Since 1995, Council's EnviroGrant program has funded around $1 million worth of projects across Logan City," she said.
"The program is a great way to help start-up a variety of environmental projects including wildlife carer activities and I would strongly encourage any Logan City resident, school, community organisation or interested group to consider making an application."
The EnviroGrants program offers grants of up to $5,000 per project for environmental projects and grants of up to $2,000 per project for wildlife carer grants.
There is a new online application form which can be accessed at www.logan.qld.gov.au. Applications close at 5pm, Wednesday 4 March 2015.
Successful applicants will be announced at the 2015 Logan Eco Action Festival, being held on 31 May 2015 at Griffith University Logan Campus.
