A flood warning has been issued by the Bureau of Meteorology for the Logan River.

Over the last 24 hours there has been 40 to 72 mm of rainfall across the Logan River catchment.

Further rainfall is expected over the next 24 hours with higher levels possible.

Minor flood levels are rising on the Logan River and tributaries, with a moderate flood peak expected overnight Saturday at Boonah on the Teviot Brook. Minor flooding is expected at Maclean Bridge overnight Sunday.

Information will be updated as soon as it becomes available from the Bureau of Meteorology

As a result of the continuous heavy rainfall, a number of local roads have also been affected by localised flooding.

Residents are urged to take care when around flood waters and should avoid entering flooded roads at all times.

Please check Council's website for updated information on local road closures
