Australian photographer Steve Parish will share his life behind the lens with Logan residents next month.
Mr Parish is renowned and well-known for the stunning images of Australia’s unique wildlife, flora, landscapes and places he has produced during the last 50 years.
Sport and Community Services Committee Chairperson Councillor Steve Swenson said Mr Parish would be at the Logan Hyperdome Library from 10am to noon on 3 June.
“He will be sharing the stories, humour, and adventure that have inspired his connection to nature in everyday life,” he said.
“Mr Parish will discuss his life photographing Australia, from where his career began in the waters of South Australia, at the age of 16, to today.
“He will also discuss the importance of pursuing personal goals in life”
Cr Swenson said Council was looking forward to welcoming Mr Parish to Logan.
“During the last 50 years, the public has connected with Steve’s work in more than 2,500 published books.
“His immense contribution to natural history publishing was recognised in 2008 when he was awarded the Order of Australia.
“There would not be many people who would not have seen an image by Mr Parish.”
