Temporary closure of Logan Entertainment Centre
The Logan Entertainment Centre will be temporarily closed for maintenance and upgrade works.

As the Logan Entertainment Centre (LEC) celebrates its 15th birthday this year, the time has come to undertake some essential maintenance and upgrades to the facility.

City Lifestyle and Customer Services Committee Chairperson Councillor Steve Swenson said in order to undertake these works, the LEC would be closed during January and February 2018.

“This will allow upgrade works to be carried out to the fire systems and the acoustic quality in the auditorium, and pre-function spaces to be addressed,” Cr Swenson said.

“We apologise to the community for any inconvenience but the closure has been timed to coincide with our lowest occupancy time of the year to ensure minimal effect to the LEC and the community.”

Cr Swenson said the venue would close on 20 December this year and work was scheduled to be completed by the end of February next year.

The LEC’s administration and operations offices, kitchen and bistro will remain open as per normal during the maintenance and upgrade works.
