Council teams with local growers for Fine Food Queensland
The City of Logan stall will be offering up locally produced treats at the Fine Food Queensland event in Brisbane this weekend.

Logan food producers will be on show this weekend at one of the Queensland food industry's biggest trade events.

The City of Logan stall will be one of 200 exhibitors on display at the Fine Food Queensland event being held over three days at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Mayor-Elect Luke Smith said the trade event was an important showcase for the state’s food and hospitality industry.

“This is a trade-focused event that is about putting quality products in front of some of the key buyers and decision makers in the food, retail and hospitality industries,” he said.

“Like the Good Food and Wine Show, which is held later in the year but is more customer focused, Council sees this event as an excellent opportunity to show people some of the wonderful things being produced here in Logan.

“We know how good our local producers are and while people further afield are starting to notice, this event is a great way to ensure people from across the state get a chance to see what Logan has to offer.”

The City of Logan-branded stall hosted by Council will feature products from Logan-based businesses including Riverview Herbs, Carcamos Gourmet Caramel Apples, Poppy’s Chocolate, NT Fresh and Soul Merchandise.

The event is expected to attract 5,000 visitors there to look at the latest industry products and equipment and participate in discussion panels and educational sessions.

Fine Food Queensland runs from Sunday 10 April to Tuesday 12 April.
