Have you ever tried a 'Cronut'? If not the second instalment of the City of Logan's Eats & Beats Urban Pop-Up Series will be the perfect opportunity to sample this delicious pastry or a range of other taste sensations.
Eats & Beats will return on Friday 24 April and will be bigger than ever with double the number of food trucks and a new larger location at the Hyperdome Outdoor Event Area at Shailer Park.
Included among the additional food truck options will be the launch of The Doughnut Bar serving Chocolate Komberry Co's famous version of the 'Cronut', a hybrid pastry combining a croissant and doughnut.
King of Wings and a number of other trucks are set to return and Legacy will attend to raise funds ahead of Anzac Day commemorations on Saturday 25 April.
Governance, Finance and Economic Development Committee Chair, Councillor Luke Smith (Division 6), said the popularity of the first Eats & Beats had exceeded all expectations, and Council had taken on board feedback from all the people who attended.
"The people of Logan have fully embraced this event and our next Eats & Beats will feature more than 30 food outlets at a much larger site," he said.
"This new location is almost triple the size and as a pop-up series, it is great to be able to move the event around and showcase all of the great areas in our city.
"We hope everyone will continue to show their support for the concept and will come along to enjoy the fantastic atmosphere at this family-friendly event."
Eats & Beats will be held from 5.00pm to 9.30pm Friday 24 April at the Hyperdome Outdoor Event Area, cnr of Leda Dr and Mandew St, Shailer Park.
