Entries are now open for the 2017 Logan Eco Awards.

The awards recognise and encourage those that are taking the lead in making Logan a more environmentally sustainable city.

This year’s categories are Eco Champion, Junior Eco-Champion, Eco Business and Eco Organisation (not for profit).

“I’d encourage anyone or any organisation that has innovated in this space to apply,” Health, Environment and Sustainability Committee chairperson Councillor Lisa Bradley said.

“These awards recognise those in the community that are going above and beyond to make Logan a more sustainable place to live.

“And if you know of anyone who falls into that category then don’t hesitate to nominate them.”

A prize of $250 is on offer in each category.

Nominations close at 5pm on 31 March 2017.

Winners will be announced at the Logan Eco Action Festival (LEAF) on 28 May 2017.

LEAF is a free event designed to inspire and educate the public about the environment.
