Hot jazz for a cool evening in Logan

Ward off winter chills with the soulful sounds of award-winning singers Katie Noonan and Emma Pask and The Voice finalist Darren Percival at Jazz and Shiraz on June 25.
Jazz aficionados can look forward to an evening of great music, fine food and Queensland wines at the annual City of Logan event.
Four-time ARIA Award winner Katie Noonan will lead the line-up of entertainment alongside Queenslander vocalist Darren Percival and big-band songstress Emma Pask.
“We’re excited to have such a strong lineup for Jazz and Shiraz this year,” said City of Logan Mayor Luke Smith.
“For anyone who enjoys jazz, this is the perfect opportunity to get together on the lawn with friends, enjoy a glass of local wine, and drink in the music under the stars.”
For the first time, Jazz and Shiraz will feature a dedicated Vineyard Alley, hosting six of Queensland’s best vineyards including Clovely Estate, Sirromet, Witches Falls and Ravens Croft.
Those who prefer a different tipple will be able to sample beers from Newstead Brewery and something stronger from Beenleigh Artisan Distillers.
Gourmet food trucks will provide culinary choices from every corner of the globe including Dutch poffertjes, Turkish gozleme and Italian pizza.Jazz and Shiraz will be held from 4pm to 9pm on Saturday 25 June 2016 at Griffith University’s Logan Campus. Gates open at 3pm.
Attendees are welcome to bring their own blankets, chairs and picnic baskets, although BYO alcohol is not permitted.General admission is $35 per person.
