School activities KRANK up the holiday fun

From magic and Lego workshops to rock climbing and go karting, the KRANK School Holiday program has plenty of activities to entertain young people in Logan during January for the school holidays.
The KRANK School Holiday program runs from Monday 9 January to Saturday 21 January, with two separate activity schedules aimed at 5-11 year olds and 12-17 year olds.
Sports and Community Services Chairperson, Councillor Steve Swenson, encouraged local families to check out the program and book in for some low-cost fun in January.
“The KRANK program caters for a wide variety of interests and the activities are deliberately included to be free or low-cost so that there is no barrier to young people across the city participating,” Cr Swenson said.
“Unfortunately I’m a little bit too old to take part which is a shame because looking at the program, on one day alone I could have played netball, learned some tricks at a circus workshop, played with Lego, gone fishing and made some chocolate.”
Activities are organised at different venues across the city and are spread between outdoor and indoor locations to account for poor weather.
Cr Swenson reminded local families that it was important to book ahead for the activities.
“We do ask people to register and because spaces are limited it is a good idea to book early so your child doesn’t miss out on the fun,” he said.
The best way to see the program and download the registration form is via Council’s website at www.logan.qld.gov.au/krank
