Logan Eco Action Festival (LEAF)
Free: Yes
Logan City Council is gearing up for the 3rd annual Logan Eco Action Festival (LEAF) and we want you to help us celebrate!! LEAF is a free community festival which will be held on Sunday 3 June, from 10am - 3pm at Griffith University, Logan Campus.
LEAF was created in 2010 with an aim to showcase innovative ideas and actions about our environment, and to encourage the community to understand and embrace positive change for tomorrow. With this as the primary goal, LEAF has been designed to promote education and generate awareness about the important environmental issues we face as a community. With an emphasis upon fun and interaction, the festival will feature workshops, presentations, organic food stalls, live music, environmental exhibitors, and children's activities reinforcing the message of environmental conservation.
LEAF 2011 was a huge success with over 6000 people attending with 98% of attendees saying that they would return again this year! Council received an overwhelming, positive response from everyone involved in the day including the sponsors, exhibitors, food vendors and community members. The event will also engage the local schools and community groups of Logan by inviting them to showcase environmentally themed performances and displays on the day.
