Understand your community

The Logan City Community Profile enables you to analyse community characteristics and understand how they have changed over time for the Logan Local Government Area. It also allows you to compare geographic areas.

The Logan City Community Profile is publicly accessible by everyone. It includes demographic data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Census of Population and Housing for 2011, 2006, 2001, 1996 and 1991.

This online tool allows you to view ABS Census data and generate PDF reports for Logan City and smaller areas within the city. These reports incorporate maps, tables and charts for a selected area. The reports contain Census demographic information including:

  • age and gender profiles;
  • multicultural diversity;
  • housing and tenure types;
  • incomes and workforce;
  • education;
  • employment; and
  • family composition.
The Logan City Community Atlas includes the same demographic information for Logan City presented as interactive maps. Based on data from the 2011 ABS Census of Population and Housing, each map is prepared using Census Collector Districts providing the finest level of detail to help identify spatial patterns and trends in the area.
