Safety advice for seniors
Published: 20 March 2015
Logan City Council's Safety Officers will help Logan's seniors feel more in control of their personal safety, with a presentation at the Logan Central Community Health Ostomy Support Group on 20 April. It follows a similar presentation to the Beenleigh Ostomy Support Group on 23 February.
The sessions focus on myths and reality of personal safety, home security tips, fraud prevention, out and about safety tips, confidence, instincts and being committed to safety.
The education and awareness program is helping deliver on the Logan: City of Choice Two-Year Action Plan 2013-2015 action item 4.7: Determine opportunities to enhance safety for legitimate users of public spaces.
