Logan Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders, Churches Together Indigenous People's Partnership, and the Pacific Island Communities of Logan will host the third 'Songs for Peace' event on 9 August to celebrate International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples.
The event, from 3pm to 8pm at The Salvation Army Life Community Church in Slacks Creek, celebrates the conciliatory efforts made by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Pacific Island communities to maintain peace and harmony in the Logan community. It is supported by Multilink Community Services.
Songs of Peace offers a chance for the entire community to come together and hear sounds of peace from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, Pacific Islanders and other cultures - from youth and community leaders.
