Week of Action Fun Day rescheduled: 30 May 2015

The rescheduled Rochedale South Week of Action Fun Day is on Saturday, 30 May, at Underwood Park. Originally planned to cap off the Week of Action earlier this month, the free community event was postponed due to exceptionally wet weather.

Some quick planning by organisers has meant the day is now back on, and will still feature a screening of the movie The Box Trolls.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Rochedale South Week of Action was successfully delivered by Logan City Council and the Queensland Police Service from 27 April to 1 May, with support from a wide range of government and non-government agencies.

The focus of the week was on education, enforcement and engagement through 20 specially tailored activities. These included personal safety seminars and traffic safety education and enforcement at Rochedale South State School, Coffee with Councillor Lisa Bradley (Division 1), interactive community displays, and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design audits in parks across Rochedale South.

Council and QPS thank the community for responding so positively to the week, which has helped broaden general safety awareness.
