Disposal Locations
Community sharps bins are for the disposal of community sharps containers only.
Please do not place single sharps or other material in the community sharps bins.
Sharps must be placed into a sharps container or rigid walled, puncture resistant and sealable container, which can then be disposed of into the community sharps bin.
Examples of suitable containers for domestic use includes:
- Recycled thick laundry liquid or shampoo container with a secured lid
- Metal coffee can with a securely taped lid
- Australian standard approved sharps container.
