Two Bin Waste Service
Council's two-bin waste system has started, changing the way we collect residential recycling and waste.
The standard service provides residents with:
- weekly 240 litre waste bin collection
- fortnightly 240 litre recycling bin collection.
A 140 litre bin for either service is also available and residents can apply for the smaller bin/s and/or additional 240 litre bins.
Frequently Asked Questions
The lid of my bin does not shut properly, or my lid is bent. Can I have a replacement?
This commonly happens during bin distributions. Please leave the bin in the sun for a couple of days and it will be fine.
My bin is broken in another way, or a wheel is missing. Can I have a replacement?
Yes, contact Council on 07 3412 3412. Leave your bin on the footpath after making that call.
Additional bins
Residents can apply for additional waste or recycling bins (PDF 206 KB) (on top of the standard two-bin service) for an added cost.
Please note if you are a tenant at your current residency, you will be required to pay the annual fee in full prior to the delivery of the bin(s).
Changing bin to a 240 litre or 140 litre bin
Residents can apply to change the size of their waste or recycling bins any anytime. Please contact Council on 07 3412 3412. Leave your bin on the footpath after making that call.
Residents in unit complexes will have to check with their body corporate/property manager before applying to swap their current bin size.
