Great idea for an environmental project that will help the local environment and the local community? Just need some funding to get started?
The EnviroGrants program aims to, through community awareness and participation, enhance and protect the natural environment and foster environmentally sustainable practices across Logan City.
The EnviroGrants program has a new category for Wildlife Carers Grants. The new category allows for native wildlife carers to be reimbursed for various costs relating to the rehabilitation and release of native wildlife in Logan City.
The EnviroGrants program:
Offers grants of up to $5,000 per project for Environmental Projects;
Offers grants of up to $2,000 per project for Wildlife Carer Grants; and
Is for people wanting to achieve positive local environmental outcomes.
Projects considered for funding must occur within Logan City and relate to one or more of the following categories:
1a. Environmental projects on privately owned/non-Council controlled land (e.g. planting, weeding, erosion control, etc.)
1b. Environmental projects on Council controlled land (e.g. planting, weeding, erosion control, etc.)
1c. Environmental education, marketing and communication projects
1d. Environmental surveys and research (e.g. water quality monitoring, flora and fauna surveys, etc.)
1e. Environmentally sustainable projects for small business (i.e. projects that assist small local business in becoming more environmentally sustainable)
2. Wildlife Carer Grants for wildlife carers seeking financial assistance with the rehabilitation and release of local native wildlife.
The next round of EnviroGrants will be open on the 5th February 2014.
