Council provides a range of environmental events and workshops to educate and encourage an appreciation for Logan's natural environment in a fun and interactive manner.

RSPCA Animal Ambulance for Logan

RSPCA Qld and Logan City Council have joined forces to launch the City's animal ambulance primarily for sick, injured or orphaned wildlife in Logan. Primarily staffed by volunteers, the ambulance will run 24 hours / 7 days a week and service the entire Logan area. If you would like to volunteer for the RSPCA, check out the RSPCA website for available positions.

Logan Eco Action Festival (LEAF) - Sunday 2 June 10am-3pm

LEAF is a free eco-festival which promotes eco-living in a fun, family environment. This is a free community festival which welcomes everyone of all ages to attend and most importantly participate.

Come along with your family and friends and enjoy a day of fun with activities including science demonstrations, Tiddalick the Frog Great Big Storybook, The Giving Tree - a magical talking tree, giant slide, rock climbing wall, jumping castles, face painting, composting and worm farm workshops and much, much more!! There will also be live music from The Twine, Will Day and the Alibis and Mark Lowndes! You can see a real live koala, check out the environmental exhibitors, community environmental group displays, wildlife shows, indulge in some organic food, pick up some free trees and other goodies and pedal your own smoothie.

There is so much to do and see so make sure you get down to LEAF at Griffith University, Logan Campus on Sunday 2 June 2013.

Healthy Waterways

The 2013 Healthy Waterways Awards finalists have been announced.

The People’s Choice Award calls on the community to vote for the finalist that they believe is the most outstanding for their efforts to protect and improve South East Queensland’s waterways.
