Home Dialysis and Medical Treatment Water Concessions
Customers who require home dialysis or who require water to treat a medical condition may experience high water consumption as a result of their health condition. Council's Home Dialysis and Medical Treatment Water Concessions Policy (PDF 72 KB) is intended to provide some financial relief from the expense of high water consumption as a result of home dialysis or a medical condition requiring water for treatment. The relief from water consumption will be inclusive of the State Government Bulk Water price.
This concession is available for patients where Queensland Health have notified Council and provided an estimated annual consumption based on the patients treatment schedule.
Where the patient is the property owner or family member the concession will be provided as no chargeable allowance for the water meter supplying the property.
Where the patient is in a tenanted arrangement you may apply for the concession by submitting a Home Dialysis Concession Application for Tenants (PDF 159 KB) form with your receipt confirming you have paid for the water used.
This concession is available for customers who require a substantial amount of water in their home for treating a medical condition. Conditions will need to be met, as set out in the Home Dialysis and Medical Treatment Water Concessions Policy (PDF 72 KB).
