Dental Care
Dogs over four years old are likely to experience some form of gum disease. Just as in humans, the main cause of this disease is a build up of plaque due to poor oral hygiene.
Keep your dog's teeth and gums clean with a well balanced diet including raw bone (or specially formulated dental bones), regular dental check ups and brushing.
If your dog has a teeth or gum problem you may notice:
- bad breath,
- a brown deposit on the teeth near the gum line,
- red swollen gums, and
- even some difficulty eating.
Dogs may need occasional teeth cleaning by your veterinarian as dental hygiene is essential for good health.
