Loan terms and conditions
Items may be borrowed for two weeks. Provided there are no other people waiting for items you have loaned out, you may renew your loans up to three times, either online using the library catalogue, by contacting any library branch via phone or in person, or by using the renewal phone service on 3412 5000.
Twenty items may be borrowed at any one time. Items may include any combination of loanable material, including CDs and CD-ROMs, DVDs, MP3, Fiction and Non-Fiction Books for adults and children, Books in Languages Other Than English, Large Type Books, Magazines, Talking Books and Videos.
If you cannot find an item you have borrowed, make sure you check thoroughly around your home. Let library staff know as soon as possible if you are unable to locate the item. You may still be able to borrow items. Library staff will check the shelves over a four week period and attempt to locate the item. If the item cannot be found during this time, you may be required to pay the replacement cost for the item.
Overdue and lost items
No overdue fines are charged, but if you have any items that are more than three weeks overdue, your borrowing privileges will be suspended until the items have been returned. You will receive notification of items which are more than 3 weeks overdue, upon which you will no longer be able to use your library card to borrow items. You will be required to pay the replacement cost of the item if it is not returned.
