Can these timeframes be changed?
We do appreciate that undertaking your searches prior to purchase can be a busy time. It is our aim to help you to make this process as streamlined as possible. However, due to the high volumes of searches we process, we are regrettably unable to accelerate any request outside of these timeframes and we do not provide a fast track service at this time.
To ensure that you receive your search results within your desired timeframes, with enough time to discuss with us any questions you may have, we encourage you to allow at least 3 business days in addition to Council's processing time when negotiating your contract timeframes.
Lodging the application
Electronic: You can lodge a search application by email and pay with credit card.
Lodging in person: Present your search application together with your payment in cash, cheque, money order or credit card* at any of Council's Customer Service Centres. EFTPOS facilities are also available for your convenience.
Lodging by mail: Make your cheque or money order payable to Logan City Council and post it with your search application to Chief Executive Officer, Logan City Council, PO Box 3226, Logan City DC Qld 4114 or complete the Credit Card Details on the application form, if paying by Credit Card*.
Please note that a merchant service fee of 0.5% will be charged on credit card payments
If you order a full planning and development certificate or building and plumbing inspection report, please be aware that Council will need you to organise access to the property in advance, in order for a staff member to carry out the necessary inspection. So we can supply the search results within our standard processing timeframes, we ask that you arrange for access to the land within five business days of Council starting the search.
