Reconfiguring a Lot

A 'Reconfiguring a Lot' development application is required when:

  • creating lots by subdividing another lot
  • amalgamating two or more lots
  • rearranging the boundaries of a lot by registering a plan of subdivision
  • dividing land into parts by agreement (other than a lease for a term, including renewal options, not exceeding 10 years) rendering different parts of a lot immediately available for separate disposition or separate occupation, or creating an easement giving access to a lot from a constructed road
  • applying for an access easement.

Refer to Reconfiguring a Lot (PDF 330 KB), a Logan Planning Scheme 2006 user guide. Please note that these specific development requirements do not apply for properties located in the Beaudesert and Gold Coast planning scheme areas.

The Regulatory Provisions of the South East Queensland Regional Plan 2009-2031 may override the subdivision provisions contained within the planning scheme. For example, any properties within the Regional Landscape and Rural Production area require a minimum lot size of 100 hectares in order to be able to subdivide the property.

To check the Regional Land Use Category for your property, please refer to the Department of Infrastructure and Planning Land Use Category Mapping.
