Underwood Road Traffic Management Plan
This draft Traffic Management Plan is to address identified safety issues, both pedestrian and vehicle traffic along this section of Underwood Road, Rochedale South.

What the plan sets out to achieve
- A community 'feel' to the business precinct
- Widen paths to allow for a 'shared' path facility.
What is proposed
- 50 km/h speed limit along this section of Underwood Road
- Two meter shared path
- Signals at the intersection of Somerset and the shopping centre's eastern access
- 'Entry' statement with centre median landscaping at each end
- Coloured pavement outside shopping / business area
- Pedestrian refuge at the western end
- Left in / left out at Payne Street and the western shopping centre access
- Dedicated turning lanes
- Relocation of bus stop
- Streetscaping outside the shopping / business area.
Logan City Council needs to plan now to ensure that we are prepared for the future development of Rochedale by Brisbane City Council. The development will bring increase vehicle and pedestrian traffic to the area.
