As a result of the heavy rainfall, a number of local roads have been affected by localised flooding.
Although Council aims to have up to date information, that is not always possible. The nature of our road drainage system is that when the ground is saturated and there are isolated short heavy downfalls, roads can be inundated for short periods of time. Our staff do their best to display and remove warning signs in a timely manner. You may come across water over the road without warning, so always drive to the conditions, cautiously, and if it is flooded, forget it.

Flood watch cameras
Council is committed to enhancing the level of preparedness for disaster events. Over the past few years a number of flood watch cameras have been installed to allow the community to view, better prepare and plan their routes where road closures would cause substantial disruption.
The cameras operate on a 24 hour basis however during the night hours the quality of the image may change due to lighting restrictions.
The flood watch cameras are a joint initiative of Logan City Council, the Commonwealth Government and the Queensland Government.
Please note: The date and time are stamped on each image to allow accurate monitoring. Camera images currently update every half an hour, however this may change during a major event.
