Communities

Council has worked alongside the community to develop a suite of strategies that acknowledge the benefits of economic development and links them to a commitment to social justice and equitable outcomes for all residents.

The Connected Communities Strategy is guided and informed by the federal, state and local initiatives in order to work towards building a strong sense of community, capacity and pride and to encourage the Logan community to become more actively involved in issues that may affect them.

The strategy outlines the framework for activity and four key directions for achieving expected outcomes for the 4 years from 2009/10 to 2012/13:

  • Spaces and places
  • Partnering
  • Resourcing
  • Communicating
