Logan Village

Logan City Council has endorsed the Logan Village Local Plan, guiding development for the area over the next 20 years and allowing Logan Village to cater for the needs of its existing and future residents.

The plan will be incorporated into the draft new Planning Scheme before it can be implemented. The intent is to release the draft new Planning Scheme for public comment in 2011/2012.

Its key features include:

• preserving the Village Green, adding a boulevard on separate land along its eastern border;
• making Albert Street into a service road; and
• relocating Waterford-Tamborine Rd closer to the rail line in the long-term.
