About Cr Pidgeon
Councillor Phil Pidgeon was elected to Logan City Council in 1997.
Born and bred in Queensland, he grew up in Central Queensland and Brisbane. Phil has previously worked as a trainee manager at Woolworths, a sheet metal worker/welder and a professional photographer.
Cr Pidgeon is the founder of the Crestmead Community Garden group and the Crestmead Community Christmas Carols. In addition, Phil is patron of several groups, including the Queensland Bird Breeders Club (based in Logan), Crestmead 40+ Club, Logan District Family History Society, Claremont Resort Men’s Shed Group, Australian Native Orchid Society, Mustangs Rugby League Club, Crestmead PCYC and Logan City Square Dancers. Phil is also an honorary member of the Logan and District Orchard Society and member of the Logan Village Museum.
Cr Pidgeon currently chairs the City Roads and Water Committee and has extensive experience previously chairing committees that have managed parks, health, sport, city standards and community services.
He believes being approachable and available to residents at all times is one of the main responsibilities of a Councillor. Listening to and valuing opinions and working with Council to solve residents' problems are the true aims of a local government representative.
Cr Pidgeon is married with four children, and has four grandchildren.
