Flour power will be on show as a mix of international, national and local cake decorators provide the perfect ingredients for the Queensland Cake Expo 2018.
The event, which promises sugar and spice and all things nice, will be hosted at the Logan Entertainment Centre from August 24 to 26.
About 100 decorators will fight sweet tooth and nail during the showdown.
City Lifestyle and Community Committee Chairperson, Councillor Steve Swenson, said cake competitions, demonstrations and decorating classes would all be part of the three day event.
“Among this year’s teachers are national and international instructors Tracy Byatt, Alice Menadue, Evan Jones and Robert Harwood,” Cr Swenson said.
Cr Swenson said many people eagerly awaited the annual expo hosted by the Queensland Cake Decorator’s Association.
“This is the chance for association members to come together to showcase their work and we are sure to see some eye-catching cakes on display,” he said.
“There will also be amazing sugar work displays and world class demonstrations.
“This is your chance to learn cake decorating skills from some of the best local artists in the business.”
Class and entry tickets can be booked at qldcakeexpo.com.au
The expo will be open from 10am to 4pm on Friday (August 24) and between 9am and 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.
